Marcus Newberry III, MD 300 Midtown Drive Beaufort, SC 29906 (843) 770.0404 Dr. Marcus Newberry, III is a board certified Medical Oncologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer as well as a number of benign hematologic diseases. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1992 followed by an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Newberry served as Chief Resident for one year before relocating to Beaufort and establishing a private practice in Internal Medicine. In addition, he served as a staff Physician for Internal Medicine at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. In July 2001, he returned to the Medical University of South Carolina to complete a two year fellowship in Medical Oncology. After his fellowship, he was in private practice in Charleston, South Carolina where he served as an attending physician in Hematology/Oncology at Roper Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and East Cooper Regional Hospital. In 2004, he returned to Beaufort and rejoined Lowcountry Medical Group where he serves as a Medical Oncologist and the director of the on site infusion center. His special interests include colon cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer and lymphoma, to name a few.
